Free Art Resources

As as I committed in being an anti-capitalist living in the big world of capitalism. I am enthused in sharing some resources that might help people out.

I’m aware there are many barriers to therapy, cost, time, administrative demands, and the professional bodies that govern who I can work with. Offering free resources is one way to reach people who might still benefit from what I have to share.

I believe that people can heal without therapist, it requires dedication and commitment but it can be done, (in fact, healing existed before therapy came around.) A good therapist is like an instant pot, they might just help speed up the healing process.

On this page you’ll find outlines of groups I have run, which give you art invitations around certain topics, and questions to ponder, journal, or chat with your friends about. (But for now it is just the Mindful Mondays outlines are I must search deep into the hard drive of my aged computer to find the others).

If you benefit from any of these resources I would love to hear from you. Hit me up on insta (eyesopenstudio) or you can email me.

***If you have any trouble downloading any of the files I have shared, please email me. Technology is not my forte but here we one. On the internet, doing our little tech things. ***

Mindful Mondays Outline

In 2023 (I think?) I ran a Mindfulness based Art Group for about 16 weeks. Here are the outlines I created for the individuals involved in this group.

This Is Not Art Therapy (The Podcast)

This Is Not Art Therapy is a casual podcast about art, feelings, and being a person in the world right now. We (me and my friend John Goodyear) chat about creativity, mental health, systems we’re stuck inside, and the messy in-between. It’s not therapy, but it might make you think, laugh, or want to make something with your hands. At times we have fun guests who share stories of their life, and how art has helped them.

Check out the podcast where ever you listen to your podcasts. (RSS link)
