What’s in your vest?

This is my vest.

There is no other vest quite like this one. I made sure of it. What started off as a plain, 7$, vest from my local thrift shop, evolved into an ever-changing work of art.

Mother Tree Goddess painted on Denim Vest

The symbolism present in the vest includes some perennial figures that are common in my art. Similar to the dancing women made in my (Logo), the representation of a mother goddess built of nature has been a creation that has been recreated by cultures and crafters around the world for thousands of years. When I work with these archetypes I am connected to all those who have created before me. The lone becoming the many.

Fire and water are two of the elements that I explore the most. Driven by seemingly opposing feelings of passion and calmness, slowly I am learning to balance the two.
